Nice, versatile piece: vegetable rack; pot rack or planter. You decide :)
This is where we show and tell our vintage, retro and shabby finds. We don't keep them all to ourselves though - if you see something you want, just ask

Coffee Time! Vintage Keele Street coffee set in original box
What makes the thrill of finding an attractive set or piece of vintage homeware, even more satisfying, is finding it still has its original box. Look at this lovely set of six coffee cups and saucers.
The cups are most attractive with their rose-floral pattern, but for me what sets the set off nicely is the shade of yellow in those saucers. It is an unusual combination with the roses, but it is a very utilitarian colour, I feel, which is evocative of the age - 1950s if we use the cups as a guide, but probably 1960s, judging by the box.
And the box! What a design. It could have fallen in from the 1950s, but is is that typeface, which is a little less fussy than what went before, that tells me a more modern 'mode' of thought went into the design.
The whole package to me straddles the two decades, but that's OK - we live in a mix and match 21st century, where we can grab and pick 'n' mix just what we want to be surrounded with, rather than have the completeness of a trend dictate to us.
The only thing that matters is, is that you like them.

Cowes "Start of the Race" by JC Sibley vintage thread art ~ mid century kitsch
Thread and material sown onto a cloth background and mounted on two boards. It is called: Cowes "Start of the Race" and is by JC Sibley. I am guessing this was done sometime within the 1950s to 1970s. It measures approx 17 inches by 21 inches (approx 35.5cm by 53cm). Depicts the start of a race during Cowes Week. I don't know anything about the artist, so would welcome any info. This will appeal on many levels. If you are kitting-out your home out in a mid 20th century kitsch style it will look great, or you may know a sailing enthusiast who would appreciate this.
We dont have this listed on Etsy yet, but if you want it, convo or tweet @collectini and we'll list it. If you are known to us we'll arrange meet and collect.
Please see the images below and ask any questions you might have. Thank you.

How about a nice pair of orange floral 1970s sun loungers
You know when you forget you have something... then remember
Maybe it was something to do with it being such a sunny day, though you wouldn't think so from the picture.
We'd love to keep these, but we just don't have the room.
These are local pick up in Southampton.
