Retro vintage 1970s style square decorative glass dish in tan, brown and amber tones

What do you think of this stylish piece of glass?

Square glass bowl. Age unknown though it is definitely in a 1970s style and in the colours very popular in that period. Approx 10 inches (25cm) square and about 1.5 inches (4cm) deep. In VERY GOOD condition.

Find it on Etsy.

Vintage Old Hall English stainless steel Toast Rack & glass butter & jam dishes

It holds four slices and there are two decorative frosted-glass dishes for your butter and preserves. The handle is just off-parallel, not major but only polite to point it out. There is a chip to an inner edge of one of the dishes, which isn't too noticeable due to the frosted glass, there are little pinpicks and small bubbles here and there in the glass.  The base of the rack is approx 24 cm (9.5 inches) by 12.5 cm (5 inches). Height is approx 10 cm (4 inches) to top of the handle. Underneath, maker's mark states "18 / 8 Stainless Steel, Old Hall, England". Underneath is showing signs of age and there seems to be a little tarnishing or staining around the maker's mark where a price label was removed - this is tiny and looks worse in the photo than it is. Overall, with stated is in VERY GOOD condition. Please ask any questions you might have.

We dont have this listed on Etsy yet, but if you want it, convo or tweet @collectini and we'll list it. If you are known to us we'll arrange meet and collect.

Our first etsy listing - Chance Glass pin tray

Although we are not officially opening our Etsy shop until January 2012, it will still take time to get the shelves filled, so between now and then you will see items appear in the shop. It is OK, you don't need to wait until January 2012 to buy, you can still go ahead as usual.

Not being used to Etsy, we found it took a little longer than it would to list on any of the other online retail sites. Sure we'll get used to it though! It seems you have to think in USD$ regarding the pricing of the item and postage, so if any of our prices seem erratic, please ask why. Anyway here is our very first Etsy offering, a cute little Chance Glass pin tray.

This is giving me a Club Tropicana earworm

This one has sold, but I have another very similar one here. It would be fair to say that 1980s styles are at the very edge of our mid-century collecting continuum, and we don't often pick up bits and pieces of that style. This just had to be had though - just for a short while mind you, as it doesn't really fit in with the rest of our mish-mash of stuff. "Club Tropicana, drinks are freeeeee....."
